On Saturday, August 18, Shonda and I shot a double wedding for sisters Andrea and Sarah Sarine at UTC’s Patten Chapel located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. You can check out the nice write up on this/these wedding(s) on Chattanoogan.com.
We had a great time working with everyone; this was by far the most challenging event we have ever shot. There were two other photographers shooting, and we had to get in sync so we didn’t trip over each other, yet ensure that this large event was properly documented. As challenging as it was, it was a pleasure to work with David Andrews, and his assistant Rachel. After going through most of our photos from the event, we are very pleased with the final product. You may notice that there are not any reception shots - we were not booked to shoot the reception.
We are dividing the wedding photos into two separate posts - in this post you’ll see some shots that focus on Andrea and John at Patten Chapel.
Here are some of our favorites from the day:

On Wednesday, I got a call from Amonie saying she was wondering if I would do her a favor. The conversation went something like this:
Amonie- What are you doing this Thursday?
Me- Do you mean tomorrow?
Amonie- Yep. At 7:00pm Niel and I are going to get married at New Salem United Methodist Church on Lookout Mountain.
This is without a doubt the shortest notice I’ve ever had, but it turned out to be a great time. It wasn’t quite an elopement, but it was pretty darn close!

Although we specialize in wedding photography, did you know that we also do portraiture for any occasion in the Chattanooga area? Here are a few portraits that were taken on the fourth of July on Lookout Mountain, Georgia or around Chattanooga, TN.

This wedding was so much fun! Katie and Jason are so great together, and we had a wonderful time at Cloudland Canyon with their family and friends, despite the heat. Cloudland Canyon is on Lookout Mountain, Georgia about 30-45 min. from Chattanooga, Tennessee (right above Trenton, Georgia). Here are a few of our favorites from the day…

We got to photograph another beautiful wedding at Grandview (located on Lookout Mountain, GA next to Rock City Gardens) on Saturday, June 16th. We can’t begin to tell you how much fun it was. Attendees were the bride, groom, minister, and two photographers (that’s us). Tracy and Jonathan’s wedding couldn’t have been better.
Here are some of our favorites from the morning…

Sisters and best friends… We met some great people at Grandview (located next to Rock City on Lookout Moutain, Georgia - this is right outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee). Our objective was to take engagement photos, and if all goes according to plan in the near future, we’ll be shooting the wedding at UTC’s Patten Chapel and reception at Rock City (because Grandview can’t handle the crowd that is expected for this double wedding).
However, we did get the opportunity to shoot the engagement photography at beautiful Grandview on May 27, 2007! I highly recommend choosing Grandview, because it is a gorgeous location, and the folks that run it are awesome to work with.

We had a great time shooting the photography at Gideon and Kendale’s engagement party at the Tennessee Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee on the evening of Saturday, April 14, 2007. The Tennessee Aquarium offered us a wide variety of photographing opportunities, and we had load of fun shooting this one!

On Thursday, January 4, 2007 we had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Grandview. Grandview is a wonderful place for a wedding! It is located on Lookout Mountain (next to the famous Rock City Gardens), which is right outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. There are plenty of prime spots for outdoor photography; however, since this wedding was at night, we weren’t able to shoot any photos outside.

On Thursday, August 18, 2006 we had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Saint Elmo Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tennesseee (at the foot of Lookout Mountain). St. Elmo Presbyterian has really beautiful archictecture; however, it is very difficult to photograph inside, because the wood is so dark. I was really pleased with the photography. Megan & Jonathan had their reception at Our Lady of the Mount on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, and this was also a lot of fun to photograph.
