Okay, so I wasn’t able to shoot the wedding - for some reason Sonya and Devere wouldn’t foot the bill to fly me with them to Aruba…but at least they invited me to Hixson, Tennessee (in Chattanooga) to shoot their reception.
I’m calling this thing a reception, but I think this event was officially titled “The Keller Luau.” Whatever you want to call it is fine by me…it was a lot of fun!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:

On Saturday, August 18, Shonda and I shot a double wedding for sisters Andrea and Sarah Sarine at UTC’s Patten Chapel located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. You can check out the nice write up on this/these wedding(s) on Chattanoogan.com.
We had a great time working with everyone; this was by far the most challenging event we have ever shot. There were two other photographers shooting, and we had to get in sync so we didn’t trip over each other, yet ensure that this large event was properly documented. As challenging as it was, it was a pleasure to work with David Andrews, and his assistant Rachel. After going through most of our photos from the event, we are very pleased with the final product. You may notice that there are not any reception shots - we were not booked to shoot the reception.
We are dividing the wedding photos into two separate posts - in this post you’ll see some shots that focus on Sarah & Jonathan at Patten Chapel.

On Wednesday, I got a call from Amonie saying she was wondering if I would do her a favor. The conversation went something like this:
Amonie- What are you doing this Thursday?
Me- Do you mean tomorrow?
Amonie- Yep. At 7:00pm Niel and I are going to get married at New Salem United Methodist Church on Lookout Mountain.
This is without a doubt the shortest notice I’ve ever had, but it turned out to be a great time. It wasn’t quite an elopement, but it was pretty darn close!
